The 58th annual Waterville Rotary Auction is ongoing online through Saturday, Nov. 13.
People can actively bid and participate in the auction by visiting biddingowl.com/watervillerotary. Bidding opened Nov. 7.
The Waterville Rotary Club hosts the auction each year in late November to benefit what Rotarians determine to be among the worthiest causes of the region. Every year, for more than half a century, the community event has raised money to meet area needs.
Projects from multiple disciplines and organizations are all included in Rotary’s efforts to make a difference.
This year, all proceeds from the auction will support food insecurity programs in the central Maine area.
People can join the Waterville Rotary Noon Club from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11, on MIX 107.9 to learn more about the auction, past recipients of the proceeds and how Rotary supports local and global communities.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
