John “Jack” L. Foulkes

SKOWHEGAN – John “Jack” L. Foulkes, 73, passed away November 6, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born February 12, 1948 in Milo, the son of John S. and Winnie (Elllis) Foulkes.

He attended schools in Milo and graduated from Milo High School in 1966, the attended Briggs and Straton College. On October 17, 1987, he married Gayle Collins in Skowhegan. He was employed for 30 years by the Skowhegan Water Department. Jack was a member of Somerset Lodge, Kora Temple Shrine in Lewiston, and Moose Alley Riders ATV Club. He enjoyed ATV-ing, camping, fishing and crafts.

Jack is survived by his wife of 34 years, Gayle Foulkes of Skowhegan; sister, Joan Davis and husband Joe of Brewer; step-children, Kimberly Greenleaf of Cornville and Cory Greenleaf and wife Jolene of Wilton; grandchildren, Cody Williamson and partner Julie Bickford of Skowhegan, Connor Greenleaf of Wilton, Jocelyn Greenleaf of Wilton; great grandchildren, Colton Williamson of Skowhegan and Carter Williamson of Skowhegan; nieces, Janice Robiner of Florida, Jane Houp of Portland; nephew, Joey Davis of Connecticut; extra special friends, Donn Skillings, Rusty Damon, Mark Keene, Pat Flyn and Mark McKenny.

A special thank you to Beacon Hospice, especially Tammy and Aaron.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the Federated Church in Skowhegan with Reverend Mark Tanner officiating. Interment to follow the service at South Side Cemetery in Skowhegan.
