WATERVILLE — The Alfond Youth & Community Center hosted its first Trunk or Treat event Sunday, Oct. 31, in the parking lot at its facility on North Street.

Thirteen trunks lined the back parking lot of the center, serving more than 1,500 trick or treaters over the two hours of the event. These trunks were run by community members, AYCC staff, and Waterville Senior High School students.

The AYCC also ran an open house “treat tour,” where families were guided throughout the building for treats and program passes.

This event saw significantly higher attendance than what was originally anticipated —AYCC staff went on multiple runs to ensure all youth in the line, which extended out onto North Street, would be able to participate.
