Clarence E. Robinson

CLINTON – Clarence E. Robinson, 59, of Clinton, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2021, peacefully at home presumably from a broken heart.He was born in Waterville Feb. 26, 1962, the son of Charles and Vivian (Moody) Robinson.Clarence was a good ‘ole Clinton Boy who went to school until he didnā€™t want to anymore. Clarence married the love of his life, Lisa Robinson (Danforth) on Dec. 3, 2016, after 26 years together. He lost his beautiful bride to COVID-19 in April after only being married for four-and-a-half years. Clarence was a craftsman. By trade, he built houses, barns, and any form of carpentry you could imagine. He was an extremely talented man who could do anything. He was an artist. He did everything from sketching to building full size cedar strip canoes. Clarence was a forager. He loved his time in the woods bow-hunting, at the brook fishing, on the side of the brook fiddlehead picking, at the ocean clamming, or up north mushrooming. Clarence was a fighter, professionally of course. He was a boxer and had trophies and a flat nose to prove it. Clarence was a lover. He loved his family and friends with everything he had. He had five amazing grandchildren who he could not get enough of, unless he had to change a dirty diaper, then forget it.His five grandbabies are Avery (8), Layne (7), Alexa (5), Meyer (5), and Raegan (3). Clarenceā€™s favorite pastimes included camping, playing cards and games with ā€œthe crewā€, making the best bean-hole-beans youā€™ve ever tasted, runner sled racing, and beating you in a game of corn hole or disc golf. Clarence is survived by his stepdaughter Tasha Passmore and her husband, Nathan of Gorham; his stepson, T.J. Lee and his wife, Kelly of Winslow; his sister, Inez Trahan and her husband, Brian of Clinton; his sister, Leona Robinson of Waterville; his sister Carla Martel of Waterville; his brother, Joseph Robinson of Fairfield; nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him dearly. Clarence was predeceased by his wife Lisa Robinson; his parents Charles and Vivian Robinson; his brother Charles (Chuck) Robinson, his brother Carl Robinson, and his sister Martha Robinson, and his beloved dog, Bone. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 20, at Nobles Ferry Cemetery in Clinton. Arrangements are in the care of Lawry Brothers Funeral Home 107 Main Street, Fairfield.
