ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Scott W. Roy, 59, of St. Petersburg, Fla., died of natural causes on Oct. 6, 2021. Scott was the son of the late Barbara and Wilfred (Wolf) Roy. He was a graduate of Lawrence High School, class of 1980 and attended Thomas College and Northeastern University.Before entering the Navy, Scott worked for Modicon in North Andover, Mass.He served in the Navy from 1981 to 1984 on the USS Barry based out of Newport RI and USS Juneau based out of San Diego, Calif. Through the Navy he got to travel the world. Once out of the Navy he worked for Deutsche Bank in Boston, and eventually transferred to their office in Jacksonville, Fla. Scott loved to cook and entertain friends and family. His special homemade potato chips and fried clams were a big hit with all who were lucky enough to indulge. His son, Logan was his pride and joy, and made his life completeScott is survived by his son Logan Roy Redding of Port Angeles, Washington. His sisters Pamela Roy Connors, husband Bryan and daughter Kasey of Tewksbury, Mass. His sister Jean Young, husband Larry, and son Eric of Martinsville, Ind.. His best friend Jeff Grant of Maine. His dear friend Sheridan Perkins of Sinagapore. Patricia Lynch of Massachusetts as well as many special cousins, nieces and nephews.Memorial services will be announced at a later date – 2022.
