The Open Book Players will present the second production of their 25th Season, “Twain By the Tale”, at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Nov. 19, and at 2 p.m. Nov. 21, at Johnson Hall, at 280 Water St. in Gardiner.

In this two act revue of Mark Twain stories, sketches, and monologues, adapted by Dennis Snee, the wit and timeless perceptions of America’s greatest humorist are celebrated. The focus of this production capitalizes on Twain’s talent for documenting the chronic and comic weaknesses of human nature.

The cast includes Eve and Joe Blackwell of Waterville, Richard Bostwick of Hallowell, Larry Vinal of Augusta, Cheryl Clark of Gardiner, Barbara Coriell of Winthrop, Kathleen Brainerd of West Gardiner, Walter Guild of Farmingdale, John McCue of Wayne, and Cindy Turcotte of Bowdoin. Providing live music is Bob Giroux of Belgrade.

The production is directed by Lucy Rioux, Artistic Director of Open Book Players, and assisted by Kathy Levasseur of Belgrade.

Tickets cost $8 for general admission and $5 for seniors and students.
