BOSTON — Kailey Pelletier of Readfield participated in Emerson Stage’s production of “This Girl Laughs, This Girl Cries, This Girl Does Nothing” in conjunction with its 2021-2022 season.
Pelletier is majoring in stage and production management at Emerson College and is a member of the class of 2024.
The show is written by Finegan Kruckemeyer and directed by Pascale Florestal.
Three young sisters are left in a forest by their woodcutter father and forced to find their own way in the world. From this fairytale beginning, three resolutions are made: one sister walks one way to find purpose, another to find adventure, and the third stays right where she is to create a home.
The production took place Oct. 7-9 and 16 at the Robert J. Orchard Stage in the Paramount Center in Boston.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
