WATERVILLE – Kenneth Lee Dimmick, 72, of Meadow Drive and formerly of Newland Ave., Augusta, died Nov. 20, 2021, at Oak Grove Center, Waterville after an extended illness.

He was born in Worcester, Mass. on April 9, 1949, the son of Frank Dimmick and Mary (McKinley) Dimmick.

Ken graduated from Cony High School in 1967. He received an Associate Degree from the University of Maine at Augusta.

He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during the Vietnam War.

Prior to his retirement, Ken was employed by the Veterans Administration for 29 years.

While in Augusta, he was a member of Green Street United Methodist Church and attended Pleasant Street United Methodist Church in Waterville.

Surviving is his wife, Sara (Lilly) Dimmick of Waterville; one son, Scott Dimmick of Wales; one stepdaughter, Dyan Walsh of Orono, two sisters: Linda Cronin of Holden, and Judith Busch of Palm Bay, Fla. and extended family.

There are no planned visiting hours or funeral services. Burial will be in Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Augusta.
