Jacqueline Marie Vigue

AUGUSTA – Our beloved Jacqueline Marie Vigue, 85, of Augusta, crossed into God’s care on Nov. 20, 2021, surrounded by her husband and children.

Jacqueline was born in Waterville and attended schools there. She later married and moved to Augusta where she and her husband, Reynold, raised their four children. Jacqueline was a member of St. Michael’s Parish, Augusta, the Seniors Club, and the North Cove Association, Pleasant Pond, West Forks.

Jacqueline was a loving and supportive wife of 63 years to Reynold J. Vigue whom she married in 1958 in Waterville. Jacqueline was an avid reader; enjoyed playing cards; was a keen sports enthusiast; and enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s school and sporting events. Jacqueline was her happiest when she was surrounded by family, and looked forward each year to spending summers at her and Reynold’s camp on Pleasant Pond where she enjoyed fishing, swimming, boating, and sitting by the campfire in the evening swapping stories with family.

Jacqueline is survived by her husband, Reynold J. Vigue of Augusta; daughter Kathy Tuller and son-in-law James of Cumberland, son Reynold Vigue and daughter-in-law Celeste of Merritt Island, Fla., son Michael Vigue and daughter-in-law Valerie of Manchester, N.H., daughter Diana Kelley and son-in-law Robert of W. Gardiner; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly and spent quality time with.

Jacqueline is also survived by brother Norman Letourneau and sister-in-law Barbara of Southington, Conn., sister Shirley Rowe of Waterville, and sister-in-law Ruth Letourneau of Winslow.

Jacqueline was predeceased by her parents Gladys Roy and Norman Letourneau of Waterville; brother Richard Letourneau of Fairfield, sister Joan Short, brother-in-law John Short, and nephew Fred Short of Fairfield.

A Celebration of Life and visitation hours will be held Friday, Dec. 3, 4 pm – 7pm at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm Street, Waterville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Dec. 4, at 9 am at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 116 Silver Street, Waterville. A private family burial will be held following the mass at the St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Waterville.
