OCALA, Fla. – James A. Lovett, 87, passed away Nov. 18, 2021. He was born Dec. 6, 1933 in Palmer, Mass.
James was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean War. He was a superintendent for a construction company as well as a private pilot. He was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Ocala, where he was a deacon and also worked on the sound system.
James is survived by his wife, Carole Lovett; sons, James C. Lovett of Ocala, Raymond C. Lovett of Dunnellon, and Jon M. Lovett (Tammie) of South China, Maine, daughters, Cathy J. Williams (Wesley) of South China, Maine, and Cindy J. Prosser (Timothy) of Eatonton, Ga.; sister, Marjorie Lovett Babineau of Dunnellon, sister-in-law, Susan Korman; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brother, Lewis “Bobby” Lovett, and his sister, Joan Lovett Donahue-Moran.
A memorial service and interment will be held at a later date in South China, Maine.
