MADISON – Our Dad went to join our Mom on Dec 2, 2021. He passed at home, full of Christmas décor, very comfortably and peacefully. He was surrounded by his four children and granddaughter Jana. He gave us six days of humor, “I love yous” and chats with our Mom, that will forever be in our hearts.

Dad was born on Oct. 4, 1936 and graduated from Madison High School. He worked for Ferris Music Service for 50 years and he and Mom owned the Pizzarama for over 20 years. Dad enjoyed eating at the Chinese restaurant (several times a day), and their staff treated him like their own. He loved his hunting trips with his son, fishing and riding the back country roads with Mom. He and Mom enjoyed opportunities to travel to Quebec, Hawaii, Montana, Missouri, Florida and many other destinations. His children and their families meant so much to him. Until she relocated, you would see Dad take his cereal/eggs and go over to Ella Mae’s for breakfast at 6:00 am; whether she was up or not! She always welcomed him with her big heart and advice he didn’t always want to hear. He loved visits from his son in law, Blair Herring, Pastor Dan Curtis and the “neighborhood watch” families who we thank and love, from the bottom of our hearts. He was so grateful to remain in his home, thanks to our special family friends Faye and Jim Dionne.

He shared his life with his four children, Stephen and his wife Candy, Pam Herring, Jan Landry and her husband Marc, Judi Veilleux and her partner AJ. He was “Grampy” to nine special grandchildren, Jana and her husband Justin Kitchin, Nikole and her husband Christopher Phillips, Britt, Justin and his wife Bri, Jade and her husband Ben Staples, Mitchell, Dylan, Spencer and Jackson. He was also “Great Grampy” to Deyon and fiancée Emily, Bain, Kadyn, Bella and Trystan and “Great-Great Grampy” to Cooper. He was also survived by his sister Ginny and brother Clayton and wife JoAnne, and their families.

We were blessed with assistance from Hollie, Dr. Colt, Dr. Gomez, Hospice and staff of Redington-Fairview General Hospital who took such wonderful care of him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Christ Community Fellowship Church at 43 Maple Street in Madison on Saturday, Dec. 11, at 12 p.m. with a light luncheon/gathering immediately after the service. Dad loved the Christmas season and to honor him, we would welcome Christmas attire, if you so choose.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home and Cremation Services. To leave a condolence for the family and to view the online obituary, please visit http://www.gibersonfuneralhome.com
