AUGUSTA- Richard J. Hardy, 39, passed away unexpectedly on November 29, 2021, in Maine Medical Center Portland.

Richard was born February 26, 1982, in Waterville. He is the son of the late Frank and Carol (Boucher) Hardy. He resided in Augusta for many years and previously lived in Waterville where he went to school.

Richard enjoyed fishing, bike riding and listening to country music. He also enjoyed spending time at the Capital Club House where he had many friends. He will always be remembered as a caring person who took great pride in helping others. He held a high level of regard and respect for the Augusta Fire Department and Ambulance Service.

He is survived by his stepsister Michele Pooler of Winthrop, his loving girlfriend Jennifer T. Hardy of Augusta, His Godfather Richard Boucher, his aunt Linda Hardy, his uncle Quinton Hardy all of Waterville his loyal friend Douglas Batchelder of Augusta as well as many cousins.

Richards visiting hours will be in the Knowlton and Hewins Funeral Home 1 Church St. Augusta on Monday, December 6, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
