Michael Joseph Copage

LEEDS – Michael Joseph Copage, of Leeds, passed away on Oct. 28, 2021 at the age of 70 following a battle with cancer.

He was born Jan 3, 1951 in Hallowell to Pauline Copage and Leonard Chapman of Prince Edward Island, Canada. Mike was put into foster care at a young age. He was a Mi’kmaq Native American who loved nature and his heritage. Playing guitar, singing and fishing were a few of his hobbies.

Mike lived at an assisted living facility in Leeds with his beloved cat Jennifer. He was a long-time member of the Fayette Baptist Church and loved his church family.

He is survived by his daughter Sarah and husband Anthony Mazzeo; his sons half-brother Dennis Dodge Jr; grandchildren Nikki Gagne and partner Chris Paradis, Cameron Gagne, Katelyn Gagne and partner Hunter Andrews, Sierra Frith and fiancée Alex McLean, Destiny and husband Ty Dauphinee; great-grandchildren Kobe and Kylee Paradis, Atlas Andrews, Christie Frith and Haisley McLean, Ty III, Alana, and Bennett Dauphinee; mother of his daughter Sally Gilbert; and two half-sisters Christine LoCascio and Carol Ann Flynn.

He was preceded by his parents; his son, James Dodge; his wife Carolyn Cook Copage; his grandparents Rufus and Caroline Copage; mother of his son Bonnie Rae McLean Dodge; and half-brother Frank LoCascio.
