Conner Nutting scored 15 points to lead five Bulldogs in double figures as Lawrence picked up an 88-52 win over Erskine in a boys basketball season-opener for both teams Friday night.

Cade Scott added 12 points for Lawrence (1-0) while Andrew Trombley had 11 and Lucas Campbell and Parker Higgins had 10 apiece.

Kaden Porter scored a game-high 16 points for Erskine (0-1) while Tristen Anderson had eight.

 

FOREST HILLS 73, VINALHAVEN 22: Mason Desjardins scored 29 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out seven assists to lead the Tigers in an East/West Conference game Friday.

Cooper Daigle added 10 points and 14 rebounds for Forest Hills (1-0) while Braidan Welch scored 18.

Lincoln Dennison led the Vikings (0-1) with six points.

 

MT. BLUE 66, MESSALONSKEE 49: Evans Sterling had a game-high 22 points to lead the Cougars (1-0) past the Eagles (0-1) in Farmington.

Zach Poisson had 18 points and Chandler Briggs chipped in with 17 points in the win.

Dan Parent led Messalonskee with 13 points, while Aidan Doran had 11 points and Sam Dube finished with 10 points.

MONMOUTH ACADEMY 57, MT. ABRAM 49: Cameron Smith had 15 points to pace the Mustangs (1-0) in an overtime victory over the Roadrunners (0-1) in Monmouth.

Hayden Fletcher and Hunter Frost each had 11 points in the win.

Cameron Grey lead all scorers with 18 points for Mt. Abram and Peyton Mitchell had 10 points.

FOREST HILLS 51, VINALHAVEN 12: Peyton Chaisson scored 19 points and Hailey Welch added 11 to lead the Tigers to the Class D South win in Jackman.

ALlie DUnning scored nine points for the Tigers as well.

Lydia Wentworth led the Vikings with six points.

 

MESSALONSKEE 43, MT. BLUE 33: Brennan Doran scored 11 points and hauled in 16 rebounds to spark the Eagles to the KVAC A win in Oakland.

Ashley Mullen added 19 points and four rebounds for Messalonskee (1-0).

Mt. Blue (0-1) was led by Eva Stevens with 14 points.
