He married Beverly Jean Hoffman. They enjoyed traveling, and their home in Myrtle Beach, S.C. for many years before her passing in 2002.
He later met his longtime companion, Lydia Mason. Together they enjoyed traveling together. Lester loved playing poker and cribbage and even won a 4th of July cribbage tournament one year with family and friends in Maine. He visited every casino on the east coast and Las Vegas. Lester loved every puppy regardless of the age, he considered them all puppies.
He will be remembered as a loving and kindhearted man with a great sense of humor who loved to make people laugh. Often making comments like “I have the body of a GOD” and “being this handsome is a curse”.
