Russell W. LaBelle Sr.

CLINTON – Russell W. LaBelle Sr.,102, passed away at home on Dec. 10, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.

Dad was born on July the 2nd 1919 in Laconia, N.H. to Ernest and Ruth (Bickford) LaBelle. He attended school in Palmyra until the 8th grade, left to work for his father at the lumber mill. Ernest LaBelle and Sons.

He started driving truck at the age of 14 for his father, drove for various companies over the years finally retiring at the age of 85. He was a Teamster and proud of it. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and was a member of the Shawmut Chapel where he served as a Deacon.

Dad enjoyed gardening he had the most beautiful roses until the frost. Also enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and spending time with his family.

He was predeceased by his parents; his sisters Archena, Jean and Frances, and one brother Arthur.

He is survived by his wife Hannah of 64 years; daughter Candace Warren and her husband Gerry, Russell Jr. and his wife Tina, Todd and his wife Tammy, and Paul and his wife Becki. He is also survived by his daughter Coney Tatro and her husband Stanley of Vermont and sons Arthur and his wife Jean of Florida and Donald and his wife Clare of Idaho; his brothers Hermon, Richard and Lee; 20 grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be on Jan. 29\ at the Poulin –Turner Union Hall located 653 Waterville Road Skowhegan from 12-5.

The family would like to thank Hospice for their support, help and loving care.
