Gerald Ellis

PITTSFIELD – Gerald Ellis, 88, died Dec. 14, 2021 at a Pittsfield hospital. He was born Oct. 15, 1933 in Skowhegan, a son of Arthur and Marcia (Wyman) Ellis. He worked as a supervisor at several shoe manufacturing facilities and was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church. Jake, as he was known, also served in the National Guard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his children.

He is survived by three sons and their wives, Sherwood and Connie of San Antonio, Texas, Arthur and Janice, and Gary and Karen, all of Dexter; two daughters, Sharon and husband David Rowe of Benton and Tammy McCaw of Plymouth; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19, at the Cornerstone Baptist Church, 1195 Stetson Road, Exeter, with the Rev. Stan Griffin officiating. Those who wish may leave written condolences at http://www.CrosbyNeal.com
