Florian “Bob” Robert Paul Pare Jr.

SOLON – Florian “Bob” Robert Paul Pare Jr., 83, passed away peacefully on Dec. 12, 2021, at his home in Solon surrounded by his family. He was born July 3, 1938, in Lewiston, the son of Florian Robert Paul Sr. and Albia (Blais) Pare.

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force who proudly served his country for over 20 years until his honorable discharge in 1976 at the rank of Technical Sergeant. After retiring from the military, he owned and operated a furniture store and later worked for both Nike and Sheridan Construction, until finally being self employed as a general contractor. Nearly 40 years ago him and his wife Angela purchased 63 acres of woodland in Solon, and together, literally built their dream home. He enjoyed playing golf, snowmobiling, woodworking, gardening, and model trains. He was the coach for the Carrabec High School golf team for 4 years, which he loved. He was very proud of his children and was the best most loving pepere.

Bob is survived by his wife, Angela (Ross) Pare of Solon; daughters, Debra Hapgood and husband Wayne of Kennebunk, Darlene Masteller and husband Scott of Dayton, Denise Cummings of Waterville, Stephanie Messer and partner C Davis of Solon; sons, Florian Robert Paul Pare III and wife Sarah of Old Town, Daren Pare and wife Becky of Orono, Joshua Pare and wife Lyndsey of Germantown, TN; 17 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sisters, Rena Boudreault of Lewiston, Sandra Rodrigue and husband Nelson of Lewiston, Sonia Rodrigue of Lewiston, Lorraine Lemay of Lewiston; brother, Norman Pare and wife Jackie of Minot. He was predeceased by two sons, Dennis Pare, Donald Pare; sister, Jeannette Letourneau; granddaughter, Charity Harmon; grandson, Christopher Harmon.

A graveside service will be held at the Augusta Veterans Memorial Cemetery 163 Mt. Vernon Rd, Section B on Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022 at 12 p.m., noon.
