AUGUSTA — A city man who allegedly assaulted another man with a pistol was indicted on charges of aggravated assault and criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon.
Christopher J. Beaulieu, 45, of Augusta, allegedly used a pistol to “knowingly or recklessly cause bodily injury” to another man Oct. 11 in Augusta, according to an indictment. That same day, Beaulieu, again with a pistol, also placed the same man in fear of imminent bodily injury, resulting in the criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon charge, the indictment alleges.
Beaulieu was indicted on those charges Thursday by a Kennebec County Grand Jury. An indictment is not a finding of guilt but indicates enough evidence exists for a case to proceed toward trial.
Also indicted by the grand jury were:

• Michael William Atchison, 27, of South China, two counts of operating after revocation, Aug. 25, in Augusta.
• Daniel P. Babcock, 55, of Augusta, domestic violence assault and refusing to submit to arrest, Aug. 30, in Augusta; and violation of condition of release, between Sept. 1 and Oct. 25, in Augusta.
• Austin Lamont Bing, 26, of Winslow, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, a knife, criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, a firearm, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and terrorizing, Oct. 6, in Winslow; and criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, a knife, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs (cocaine), and terrorizing, Oct. 7, in Waterville.
• Ryan M. Birkbeck, 23, of Litchfield, burglary, aggravated criminal mischief and theft by unauthorized taking, Aug. 27, in Litchfield.
• Chyanne M. Bizier, 23, of Old Town, aggravated trafficking in scheduled drug (fentanyl powder), and unlawful possession of scheduled drug (cocaine base), Aug. 13, in Waterville.
• Toby Blodgett, 45, of Clinton, criminal operating under the influence and driving to endanger, July 24, in Clinton.
• Michael G. Bragg, 32, of Winslow, aggravated forgery, operating after suspension, failure to give correct name and improper plates, March 15, in Winslow.
