Ann Roger Edwards

SOUTH PARIS – Ann Roger Edwards passed away at home on Dec. 22, 2021. She was born in 1941 in Farmington to Guy and Glennis (Safford) Rogers. The family lived in Flagstaff and Dead River in a house with no electricity and a crank telephone until the flooding of that area resulting from the long falls dam. Eventually settling in Solon, Ann graduated from Solon High School as co-valedictorian of her class, and studied at Thayer Hospital in Waterville, becoming a Medical Laboratory Technician. She started working at Stephens Memorial Hospital, where she stayed until her retirement. Ann met Bruce Edwards when a coworker of his bet he didn’t dare to ask her on a date. They were married for 57 years until he passed away. The family enjoyed camping vacations when their boys were growing up, and traveled to Hawaii, St. Thomas, and New York to visit Bruce’s sister, Carol. Ann will be remembered for her caring kind personality and her eagerness to help out anyone in need. Survivors include her sons, Bradley and Brian, grandchildren Dustin, Kyle, Kaycee and Kaleb. Also her first great-grandson Lincoln. Sister-in-law Carol Ross and her daughters Andrea and Kim. Siblings Linda French, Gary and Gerald Rogers. A graveside service will be announced in the spring. Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Home, 45 Main Street, South Paris. Online condolences may be shared with her family at http://www.chandlerfunerals.com
