Lori Tucker

SOLON – Lori Tucker, 60, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021, at her home in Solon.Lori was born on May 11, 1961, in Dover Foxcroft, a daughter of Guy H. and Diana C. (Shaw) Libby. She was raised in Parkman with her brother Charles E. Libby Sr. She spent much of her time playing with cousins and spending time with her grandparents Carl and Norma Davis going to the fairs for the horse pulling. She went to school in Parkman and Guilford growing up.She married her husband Stephen W. Tucker in October 1994. She obtained her CDL in 1997 and worked as a team over the road truck driver with her husband traveling coast to coast. While driving she earned her associate degrees in business administration.She was a daughter, wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. People that knew her knew her as Memaw. She volunteered at the Solon Thrift Store until it closed its doors and recently began volunteering at the Solon Community Garden. She loved helping people to make a difference in the world that we live in. She volunteered as a committee member in the Boy Scout Troop that her grandson belonged to until 2020. She volunteered and helped others here and there where ever she could. She enjoyed a wide variety of crafting ranging from crocheting to the most recent diamond art. She enjoyed baking and trying new things.Lori will be missed by her husband, Stephen W. Tucker; daughters Tessa Libby from Solon, Pamela Tucker and her wife Lisa Tucker from Thibodaux, La., and Melissa Fruge and her husband Thad from Kinder, La.; grandchildren Stephen Libby from Solon, Olivia Tucker from Thibodaux, La., and Faith Fruge from Kinder, La.; mother Diana Libby from Parkman; as well as many other family and friends from near and far.Lori was preceded in death by her son Wayne ā€œSkeeterā€ Johnston, her grandparents, Harry and Lydia Libby and Carl and Norma Davis, and her father Guy Libby. She is with them now catching up with her son that she has deeply missed for over 21 years.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022, at 1 p.m., in Giberson Funeral Home, 40 Maple Street, Madison.ļ»æArrangements are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
