Vincent dePaul Noonan

SKOWHEGAN – Vincent dePaul Noonan went home to his Lord surrounded by his family on Dec. 30, 2021.

Vincent dePaul (Goose) Noonan was born in Skowhegan, Maine, the son of Maurice and Katherine (Holt) Noonan on June 22, 1945. He attended Notre Dame de Lourdes school, Skowhegan Memorial High School (class of 1964) and the University of Maine, Orono, School of Life Science and Agriculture. His work included Variety Drug, Briggs Engineering and dispatcher for the Town of Skowhegan police department for over 20 year taking the first 911 call. After retiring in 2004, he worked for Maine State Housing until 2017 as a housing inspector. On Oct. 18, 1969, he married the love of his life Beverly Anne Lovell and together they shared 53 years of adventures which included two wonderful children and five terrific grandchildren all of whom he adored. He was a lifelong communicant of Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic church, Skowhegan. Vincent served on many boards locally including Chairman of the Board of Selectmen, Past Master of Euclid Lodge A.F. & A.M, Past Patron of Minerva Chapter #74 of OES, Past Grand Chaplain of the Grand Chapter of Maine OES, past member of Knights of Columbus and charter member of the BPOE .

Goose and Bev enjoyed traveling with friends especially cruising to Panama and Prince Edward Island with Paula and Michael Nicholas and dinners at the Malbon’s with Gary and the Quinns and the MacGowans. His friends were many and treasured. The family would like to express special thanks to the ICU staff at RFGH especially Dr. Gina Gomez. Vincent was preceded by his parents, his brother Paul F Noonan, good friends Gary Malbon and Tommy Quinn. He is survived by his wife Beverly, children Katherine Ladd(Joshua), his son Peter(Amanda) daughter-in-law Ida Noonan, grandchildren, Ashley and Austin Noonan, Cassidy and Branden Guiggey, and Jude Alexander Ladd. Brother David(Kelly) Noonan sisters -in-law Joyce and Patty Noonan, Mary Jane Groff, Diane Lovell and brothers in law William Groff and James Lovell (Sharon); many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

No flowers please.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, Jan. 15, 2022, at 10 a.m., in Notre Dame de Lourdes Church, Water Street Skowhegan.
