The Table at 160 Main St. in Norway continues to be busy offering weekly free clothing give away, free breakfast at Norway Grange, recovery groups, LEG (Ladies Encouragement/Enrichment Group) and activities with the “HOG’s” (Healthy Outdoor Group), according to a news release from Anna-Jean Alexander, director.

A free Thanksgiving meal is planned for noon Thursday, Nov. 24, Thanksgiving Day, at the Norway Grange on 15 Whitman St. in Norway. All are welcome to come and eat in or take out.

In-person breakfasts with the option of pick up to-go meals are offered at 8:30 a.m. every Saturday at the Norway Grange. The Table is always interested in other teams who would like to take a Saturday and serve breakfast. The in-person breakfast have been a way to combat food insecurity as well as fulfilling a social need for many in the area.

Table’s HOGs (Healthy Outdoor Group) continues to hike. Follow The Table’s Facebook page for schedules. The HOG’s is a group of people enjoying the state of Maine and sharing it with others. The group is not a professional group. HOG’s kayak from June through September and hike October through May.

Tentative HOG’s schedule for December:

• Saturday, Dec. 3, 9 a.m. Cassades Falls; meet at the General Store in Andover and follow each other to the trailhead. Depart trailhead at 9:30 a.m.

• Saturday, Dec. 10, 9 a.m. Mystery Mountain, 1783 U.S. Route 2, Rumford; meet at 9 a.m. at the trailhead.

Sunday, Dec. 18, 1 p.m. Hawk Mountain; meet at the trailhead at 100 Hawk Mountain Road, Waterford.

All abilities are welcome. Changes in the schedule will be posted on The Table’s Facebook.

New at The Table is the Table LEG, Ladies Encouragement/Enrichment Group. The group meets at 6:30 a.m. each at The Square restaurant at 24 Market St. in South Paris. The group follows the devotional reading of the upper room, share with each other and offer hope and encouragement for the week ahead. All women are welcome. There is no registration, just simply show up.

The Table continues to offer free clothing 1-5 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays as well as from 10 a.m. to noon the last Saturday of each month. There is a variety of clothing available for both genders and many sizes. Staff will be on hand to help customers find specific clothing to aid in an efficient flow through the building. The Table accepts donations of lightly used clothing and footwear on the first two weeks of each month 1-5 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The Table is in need of children’s lightly used or new clothing and shoes. Money to purchase new socks and underwear would also be appreciated.

The Table is currently seeking an additional free space to house its clothing ministry. Any person or business that  may have an empty in town building and is looking to give back to the community is encouraged to reach out. The Table is always looking for community partnerships to help provide for the needs of the community.

The Table also offers space for area recovery groups. On Tuesdays at 7 p.m. is Narcotics Anonymous, Wednesdays at 7 p.m. is Alcoholics Anonymous, and Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. Al-Anon meetings.

In-person services begin at 9 a.m. and are followed by fellowship. All are welcome to join Sunday mornings at 9 a.m.
