Julia M. Ward

MADISON – Julia M. Ward, 87, passed away Jan. 16, 2022 at Tissues Country Estates in Athens. She was born Jan. 27, 1934 in Anson, the daughter of Lee and Mary Coro.

She attended schools in Anson and Madison. In February 1963, she married Walter Ward in Bangor. She enjoyed sewing, music, bingo and enjoyed 18 years of going to Florida with her husband during winter months as a “snowbird”.

Julia is survived by sons, Blaine S. Stetson and partner Ginny Belanger of Madison, Ken Ward and wife Rebecca of Madison; brother, Robert Coro and wife Patricia of Industry; sisters, Theresa Kirk of Madison, Lucy Sinclair of Athens, sisters-in-law, Pauline Coro of Athens, Nicole Coro of Madison, Elizabeth Coro of Madison, brother-in-law, Fred Brown of Moscow; grandchildren, Cere Stetson, Daven Stetson, Justin Hadley, Jordan Hadley, Stephen Boudreau; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Walter Ward; daughter, Bonnie Stetson; granddaughter, Carrie Morrison; brothers, Adolph, Raymond, Roland, Albert, and Leo Coro and sisters, Virginia Coro, Leah Provost, Tina Brown.

Special thanks to Tissues Country Estates boarding home in Athens and hospice for the care she received.

A graveside service will be held in the spring/summer 2022 at the convenience of the family.
