The areas first Dueling Pianos show is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, at 49 Franklin, at 49 Franklin St. in Rumford, in the front room 1st level.
Since the late ’80s the dueling piano format has been wildly successful all over the U.S. and beyond., according to a news release from the venue. It succeeds because it is a unique form of live entertainment that directly engages the crowd with music and comedy, unlike any other band or comedian.
Each show is unique because it’s all requests, one thing for sure is its entertainment value is on-point. Some common and popular requests include: “Sweet Caroline,” “Brown Eyed Girl,” and “Bohemian Rhapsody,” along with songs from Billy Joel, and Elton John among many others.
Two grand pianos are center stage with a team of pianists that seem to know every song ever written.
Tickets cost $20 and may be available at the door.
For tickets, visit 49franklin.com and hard copies can be found downtown Rumford at All That Jazz on Congress Street.
