FARMINGTON —  Zach Poisson scored 18 points to lead the Mt. Blue boys basketball team to a 69-67 win over Cony in a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Class A game on Friday night.

Evans Sterling had 16 points and Hayden Dippner finished with 12 points for Mt. Blue (6-6).

Luke Briggs had a game-high 25 points for Cony (9-5), while Parker Sergent had 13 points. Brady Hopkins added 11 points and Kam Douin had 10 points.

 

WINSLOW 65, WATERVILLE 46: Andrew Poulin had 16 points and five assists to spark the Black Raiders to the KVAC win in Winslow.

Nick Girard added 15 points for Winslow (10-3) while Jason Reynolds had 14 points and eight rebounds.

Waterville (1-12) was led by Liam Von Oesen with 16 points and Joe Hamelin and Nick Poulin with nine apiece.

 

NOKOMIS 67, GARDINER 47: Cooper Flagg scored 33 points to lead the Warriors to their 13th straight win in KVAC play in Gardiner.

Ace Flagg added 10 points for Nokomis (14-1), while Connor Sides added eight and Madden White scored seven.

Kalvin Catchings and Ryan Moore battled foul trouble but had 20 points apiece for the Tigers (5-7).

SKOWHEGAN 62, ERSKINE 39: Collin LePage scored 20 points as the River Hawks cruised to a win over the Eagles in Skowhegan.

Kyle LePage scored 10 points, while Adam Savage and Payson Washburn each added nine points for Skowhegan (11-3).

Tristan Anderson led Erskine (0-12) with nine points.

 

MARANACOOK 65, LINCOLN ACADEMY 42: Nick Wilson scored 16 points, and the Black Bears had three players in double figures en route to earning the KVAC victory in Readfield.

Tyler Hreben scored 14 and Brayden St. Pierre chipped in 10 for Maranacook, which had nine players score and improved to 6-5. Chris Reid added nine points and Brandon Chilton scored seven.

Gabe Hagar scored 19 points for the Eagles (3-9).

 

MT. ABRAM 71, HALL-DALE 53: Adam Luce scored 21 points to lead the Roadrunners to a Mountain Valley Conference win over the Bulldogs in Strong.

Payton Mitchell scored 15 points, while Kaden Pillsbury added 14 points for Mt. Abram (8-6).

Max Byron led Hall-Dale (4-8) with 24 points, while TJ Wilson added 12 points.

MONMOUTH 54, MOUNTAIN VALLEY 51: Manny Calder scored 19 points and Sammy Calder followed with 14 as the Mustangs (7-3) rallied and edged the Falcons (6-4) in Rumford.

The Calders scored five points apiece in the fourth quarter, when Monmouth rallied from a 40-36 deficit.

Leon Salmon paced Mountain Valley with 11 points and Zach New and Jake New added 10 and nine, respectively.

 

PINE TREE ACADEMY 55, TEMPLE ACADEMY 26: Alden Thacker scored 32 points to lead the Breakers to the win in Freeport.

Ben Ndamukunda chipped in with 13 points for Pine Tree (4-8).

Len Lewis had eight points for Temple (1-10).

 

VALLEY 62, PISCATAQUIS 57: Harry Louis finished with 31 points to spark the Cavaliers to the win in Bingham.

Fisher Tewksbury added 17 points for Valley (8-3) while Brodie Rich scored seven.

Piscataquis falls to 2-8.

SPRUCE MOUNTAIN 71, CARRABEC 47: Jace Bessey scored a game-high 30 points to lead the Phoenix to the MVC win in North Anson.

Camden Phillips added 15 points for Spruce Mountain (12-0).

Joel Gehrke led Carrabec (7-6) with 15 points while Daniel Handley finished with 11.

GARDINER 48, NOKOMIS 32: Lizzy Gruber nearly had a triple-double, scoring 18 points, grabbing 21 rebounds and posting seven blocks as the Tigers beat the Warriors in Newport.

Megan Gallagher and Savannah Brown each added eight points for Gardiner (10-1).

Bri Townsend led Nokomis (1-13) with 16 points, while Danica Migliore added nine points.

 

VALLEY 47, PISCATAQUIS 40: Brielle Hill scored 20 points to lead the Cavaliers to the win in Bingham.

Madeline Hill added 16 points for Valley (11-0) while Surata Wright finished with six.

LINCOLN ACADEMY 44, MARANACOOK 43: Paige Lafrenaye and Payson Kaler had 15 points apiece to help the Eagles (7-5) edge the Black Bears in Readfield.

Natalie Mohlar scored 14 points to lead Maranacook (5-6), which scored 17 points in the fourth but couldn’t erase a four-point deficit going in. Allie LaBelle added 10 points and Grace Dwyer scored eight.

 

WATERVILLE 70, WINSLOW 36: Dakodah Aldrich scored 16 points and Keira Gilman added 15 points to lead the Purple Panthers to a win over the Black Raiders in Waterville.

Gabriella Maines scored 10 points for Waterville (7-2).

Leah Knight led Winslow (3-11) with 11 points. Sage Clukey added nine points.
