AUGUSTA – Carol F. Veilleux, 59, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2022, at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Augusta on Feb. 14, 1962, a daughter of the late Herve R. and Annette J. (Roy) Veilleux.

Carol was a kind and generous person, always caring for those she loved above anything else. She was a devoted partner to her companion of 33 years, Craig A. Dube. Although she had no children of her own, she was a “mom” to many kids over the years.

She had been employed by Frank X. Pomerleau Home Furnishings for several years. She had also worked at Hallowell Shoe, attended Augusta schools and was a communicant of St. Augustine Catholic Church.

Ms. Veilleux was predeceased by a brother, Claude A. Veilleux.

She is survived by her companion, Craig A. Dube of Augusta; her sister, Claudette L. Veilleux of Augusta, and her daughter, Natalie A. Breton; a brother, Steve P. Veilleux of Augusta and his children, Steve, Josh and Ann Veilleux; as well as several cousins.

Relatives and friends may visit on Saturday, Feb. 5 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta where a memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
