After taking a one-year hiatus because of COVID, February Frolix is due to return Mount Vernon. Many previous activities are on hold because of the pandemic, but new ones have been added, according to a news release from the Mt. Vernon Age Friendly Committee.

The committee looks to deliver puzzle bags to local seniors, weather permitting, Wednesday through Sunday, Feb. 3 to 6. Beside puzzle books and some locally developed puzzles, the bags will include some treats. Information about the snowman slide show, which will feature snowman arts and crafts created by local residents, also will be in the bags.

Videos of local skits from years before COVID, as well as a new one developed by the Vienna Woods Players, will be available on YouTube starting Thursday, Feb. 4. The videos will change weekly on Friday; visit the Dr. Shaw Memorial Library Facebook page for the link.

Many outdoor activities are also planned, including three different snowshoe events, a sledding party and a skating party. Along with the skating party, Manchester artist Helene Farrar will read the children’s book “The Deer Man,” which she illustrated. She will sign books for residents.

Chair yoga also will be offered. Space is limited, so people are asked to register in advance.
