The Lisbon School Department is accepting names for the public school pre-kindergarten program at Lisbon Community School, 33 Mill St.

This program is for children who will be 4 years old on or before Oct. 15. Children are selected for attendance in the pre-k program by a lottery system, according to a news release from the school.

To register for the lottery, call Stephanie Doughty at the school office at 207-353-4132. Parents/guardians will need to provide child’s name, date of birth, address, telephone number(s), and parent(s) names(s).

Class size is limited. Children who are not selected in the lottery will be placed on a waiting list.

All names must be on the list by Thursday, March 31. The lottery will be held on Friday, April 1. For those who have already submitted a child’s name, it is not necessary to do so again.

Parents will be notified of the lottery results by mail following the drawing.

Students in the pre-k program attend school Monday through Friday. The morning session is held from 8 to 10:30 a.m. The afternoon session is held from noon to 2:30 p.m. The school department provides transportation both ways for each sessions.
