Marina Christina Ortiz-Steward

NORRIDGEWOCK – On Jan. 21, 2022, beloved Mother, Aubi, and wife Marina Christina Ortiz-Steward, passed away at home. Born in Mineral Wells, Texas to Frederico and Paulina (Zepeda) Ortiz, she made her way north to Maine after meeting a handsome army man and following him on the adventure of a lifetime her husband Todd Steward.

Marina worked for almost 30 years at Redington-Fairview General Hospital, there were many people there she considered friends and enjoyed meeting.

Together they have four children and five, soon to be six grandchildren. Marina loved her family greatly, and found joy in spending time with her “babies” whether they’re almost 40, or newly born. Marina Is survived by her husband Todd Steward; daughter Kristi (Steward) McCorrison of Fairfield, husband Morgan McCorrison, their two children Malcolm and Sydney Kristina; daughter Katlyn (Steward) Robb of Lisbon, her husband Ryan Robb, and daughter Raegan, and Riva; son Todd Steward JR of Benton, his wife Samantha (Fortier) Steward, and their two girls Calia and Karmyn; also her youngest son Jayden Steward of Norridgewock.

Marina is the youngest of 12 children. She is survived by one sister Isabel Senida (Ortiz) Looney, and three brothers Raymond Ortiz, Damas Ortiz, and Paul Ortiz. Along with her brothers and sisters in law, and also many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews that she loved deeply, and had much pride in all of them.

She was predeceased by mother Paulina, father Frederico, mother-in-law Betty McKinley; along with her brothers Frederico Jr, and Guadeloupe, sisters Esperanza, Barbara Crawley, Mary Sanchez, Judy puryer, Rita Porter; and nephew Jesse Jaramillo.

A celebration of life will be held Feb. 5, 2022 at 2 pm at the American Legion Hall, Skowhegan. Anyone wishing to assist with the celebration can bring something to share but not required.
