Tina Libby

NORTH ANSON – Tina Libby, 56, of North Anson went home to meet her Heavenly Father on Monday Jan. 31, 2022, when she passed away at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. She was born in Waterville on March 28, 1965, the daughter of Thomas and Claire (Ellis) Pelotte.

Tina graduated from Lawrence High School in 1983 and went on to marry William Shepherd Jr. with whom she had two children. Tina later married William O. Libby to whom she spent 21 years of her life with until his passing in 2014. Tina worked at Skowhegan Savings Bank for 25-plus years where she held various positions and was greatly valued.

Tina loved her family and enjoyed every moment she was able to take part in their lives. She loved taking trips around the country with her kids and late husband Bill, and enjoyed spoiling her grandkids in any way she could. She enjoyed outdoor adventures, both summer and winter and enjoyed her many trips to visit her son in New Jersey, where she always knew she would get an experience with them she had never had before. She was always eager to get on the back of a motorcycle and go for a ride, to bring back her pastime she used to share with her late husband Bill. Tina had such a giving heart and one of her greatest passions was reaching children around the world through Operation Christmas Child. She especially loved sharing this ministry with her grandchildren in packing shoeboxes to show children the love of Jesus through a simple gift.

Tina was predeceased by her husband William Libby.

She is survived by her daughter, Casey Haynes and her husband Jonathan of Anson, her son, William Shepherd and his wife Charlene of Berlin, N.J., three grandsons, Jacob, Michael, Aaron, five granddaughters, Kaylee, Emma, Lydia, Layla, Lizabella, her siblings Ed Pelotte and wife Cindy of Fairfield, Audrey Lee and husband Brent of Clinton and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Feb. 10, 2022, from 4-6 p.m., at Smart & Edwards Funeral Home, 183 Madison Ave., Skowhegan, http://www.SmartandEdwardsFH.com. A funeral ceremony will be held in the spring.
