WATERVILLE — The City Council has scheduled a special meeting for Tuesday to consider authorizing Waterville officials to apply for and administer a grant to study the economic impact of the Quarry Road Recreation Area.

The meeting, called by Mayor Jay Coelho, is set to begin at 6 p.m. via Zoom. A link is available on the city’s website — www.waterville-me.gov.

If approved, the Rural Business Opportunity Grant would provide up to $40,000 for the economic impact study of the town-owned recreation area.

The meeting must take place this week due to the March 1 grant application deadline, according to City Clerk Patti Dubois.
