A Think About Gardiner: Community Info & Brainstorming event is planned for 1-4 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at several downtown locations.

With focused topics across multiple downtown locations, this interactive event will share resources and information about Gardiner and collect feedback on how to support a thriving community, according to a news release from Gardiner Main Street. Participants can explore all that downtown Gardiner has to offer and have their voices heard.

Responses from the event will be used to discover initiatives the community values and supports. All feedback will help Gardiner Main Street prioritize strategies and projects that align with its mission. Those who live, work, shop or play in Gardiner are encouraged to join in.

People can first meet from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Gardiner Public Library, 152 Water St., to plan locations and topics of interest.

They can then join organizers at 3 p.m. at Bateau Brewing, 149 Water St., for a casual meet and greet to keep the conversations going.

Think About Gardiner is an event for those new to the city and unfamiliar with all it has to offer. Individuals looking to meet new people and make more local connections can benefit from the event. Long standing residents and active members of the community are also invited to attend and share their knowledge and feedback. Teens and families are also encouraged to participate, since the event seeks to find how downtown Gardiner can welcome younger generations.

There will be raffle prizes for participants.
