Audrey Goucher Lawley

PITTSFIELD – Audrey Goucher Lawley, 94, died peacefully on Sunday, March 13, 2022, at Sanfield Rehab and Nursing in Hartland.

Audrey was born on May 2, 1927, in Doncaster, England, the daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth Nunn. She grew up in Canada and moved to Maine during her teen years. She retired from the former Hathaway Company in Waterville.

Audrey was a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed knitting, embroidery, and quilting. She was a terrific cook and baker, making everything from scratch. She was known for her lemon meringue pie and yeast rolls. She loved traveling and taking bus tours. In her younger years, she enjoyed going to the fairs and caring for horses. She attended the Winnecook Christian Church for many years.

She is survived by her son, David Goucher and wife Suzanne of Pittsfield; daughter, Donna Bubar of Burnham; daughter-in-law, Doreen Goucher of Norridgewock; 6 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sisters: June Lindstrand of Michigan and Barbara Dee and husband Dale of Caribou; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her first husband, Gerald Goucher; her second husband, Wallace Lawley; two sons, Patrick and Michael; two brothers: Lawrence and Allen; two sisters, Winifred Inman and Joyce Blount; and two grandsons, Matthew King and Daniel Bubar

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 18, 2022, at the Shorey-Nichols Funeral Home, 191 Hartland Ave., Pittsfield, with Rev. Ron Brousseau officiating. A private family committal will be held at the Locust Grove Cemetery, Main Street, Hampden, Maine.
