AUGUSTA – Alice Anne Swift Hutchinson, 74, of Whitefield, Maine passed away on March 17, 2022, after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her mother Christine Swift. She is survived by her husband Sanford, daughter Jennifer and son in law James Brady of Stuart, Florida; daughter Kristina and son in law Todd Caruso of Laconia, New Hampshire; grandchildren Olivia, Matthew, Samuel, and Jack. She is also survived by her sister Marguerite Swift DuBosque of Amesbury Massachusetts; niece Lauren Kelleher and nephew Geoffrey DuBosque of Massachusetts and Florida. Alice was born in Augusta, Maine. She earned her nursing degree from the University of Maine in 1980 and had over 25 years working as a registered nurse specializing in psychiatric nursing. She was honored from Maine Health and Human Services with “Team Player of the Year Award”. She was very compassionate and truly enjoyed her work as a nurse. Alice enjoyed traveling to the Caribbean, The Bahamas, Europe, Mexico and North Carolina and Florida to visit with her children and grandchildren. She loved visiting the coast and beaches of Maine. She was an avid reader and enjoyed writing poetry. She loved the Summer and enjoyed seeing the beautiful flowers of Maine. She had tremendous love for her two Bichon Frises dogs Max and Minnie. A celebration of life will be held at Knowlton & Hewins Funeral Home, 1 Church Street in Augusta, Maine on Saturday March 26, 2022, at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
