VASSALBORO – Keith Norman Peaslee, 86, of Vassalboro, was called home to the Lord on March 14, 2022. He was comfortable in his home, surrounded by family. Keith was born, in Windsor, on May 18, 1935 to George and Gwendolyn Peaslee. He was the fourth of eight children born at home. Keith met the love of his life, Sylvia, while attending Cony Highschool. He graduated in 1953, and they married on Oct. 6, 1956. They served in the army together two years before returning to Vassalboro to start a family, bringing Daniel home in 1963 and Kathy in 1965. Keith worked in the state laboratory as a chemist, worked as a x-ray technician, and he and Sylvia successfully sold Electrolux for several years. He was an active member of the Vassalboro Fire Department, the Vassalboro Masonic Lodge and a trustee at the North Windsor Baptist Church, for over 35 years. Always prepared with a story to share or an item to show, Keith and Sylvia always welcomed family, friends, and even strangers into their home. Keith was predeceased by his parents; five of his siblings, and his wife Sylvia. He leaves behind his two children, Dan and Kathy; siblings Judy and Hank; seven granddaughters; 11 great-grandchildren with two on the way; and one great-great-grandson. He had many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 26 at 11 a.m. at the North Windsor Baptist Church, with a luncheon directly following.
