ATHENS – Helen W. Weston, 105, a resident of Athens passed away Sunday, April 3, 2022, at Tissues Country Estates in Athens. She was born March 3, 1917, in Rangeley, the daughter of William W. Walker and Vera A. (Kennedy) Walker. She attended school in Strong. On July 11, 1936, in Mexico, she married Philip R. Weston. They enjoyed 41 years together before his passing in 1981. She worked through the years for the telephone company, wood turning mill and then at G. H. Bass for 17 years. She enjoyed travelling, fishing, flowers, reading and doing puzzles. She is survived by her nieces, Pam W. Frank of Poland, Phyllis Phillips of Skowhegan, Sue Webster and husband Ralph of Wales, Lillian Dagneau and husband Marcel of Northport, and Bonnie W. Johnson and husband Ronald of Greene, her nephews, Neal Easler of Florida, Alan Walker and wife Claire of Monmouth and David Lebell of Kingfield, brother-in-law, Lawrence Wilber of Northport, and grandniece Laurie Olson and husband Kirt of Solon, great-grandniece, Theresa Wright of Skowhegan and great-great grandnieces, Amanda Wright of South Korea and Lillian Knowles of Emden as well as many more great-grandnieces, great-grandnephews, great-great grandnieces and great-great-grandnephews. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, brother, Nelson W. Walker, sisters, Alice Tardy, Hazel Wilber, Nettie Lebell, brother-in-law Elden Lebell, nephews, Milton Phillips, Dennis Walker and Royal Frank, and niece Vera Williams.
