FAIRFIELD — A Fairfield woman who was found dead at the end of a driveway on Martin Stream Road last summer died from an accidental overdose, according to police.

Kylee Phillips, 21, was found dead Aug. 25. The state medical examiner’s office determined that Phillips died from acute fentanyl intoxication and has ruled the death accidental, said Casey Dugas, public information officer for Fairfield police.

Police were contacted the afternoon of Aug. 25 about a woman unresponsive at the end of the caller’s driveway, authorities said at the time. First responders attempted to administer aid upon discovering Phillips but pronounced her dead at the scene.

Phillips’ body was taken to the medical examiner’s office in Augusta for the autopsy.
