Donna L. Doray

RANDOLPH – Donna L. Doray, 63, of Randolph, Maine, died peacefully in her sleep at her daughter’s home, after declining health issues. She was born in Augusta, Maine, on May 15, 1958, the daughter of Walter and Virginia (Goggin) True. Donna worked on a chicken farm and SKCDC- as an assistant teacher in her younger years, and eventually dug bloodworms with Rodney. She enjoyed yard sales, thrift shops, playing cards, scratch tickets, bingo, and candlepin bowling for many years. If you took her hood card, she would smack you, you’d know she wanted to keep it. She enjoyed gardening and making people; especially children smile. She also loved going to fairs and Old Orchard Beach as a family. Being with family and watching her grandchildren grow, was by far her favorite. She was always proud of their accomplishments BIG or small. She was always ready and willing to help in any possible way right up to the day she passed away. She was predeceased by her husband of almost 41 years and love of her life, Rodney Doray SR; she was also predeceased by her parents and three sisters, Carol True, Marcia Adams, and Diane Darling. Donna is survived by her children, Rodney Doray, Jr., and his fiancé Crystal Hugh’s of Brunswick, Rebecca Honas and her fiancé Ronald Hanson of Baileyville, William Doray and his wife Sharon of Chesterville, April Varney and her husband Eric of Gardiner, Susan Reed and her husband Mathew of Wiscasset, Steve Doray and his wife Lucy of Pittston, Heather Doray and her partner Timothy Mercado of Randolph; special mention of Eric Mackey and Nikki Kimball who will aways be family; two sister’s Sharon Mercier and her husband Glen of Sidney, and Pam Mcgee and her husband Mark of Gardiner; her grandchildren Cassandra, Victor, Michael, Jordan, Maranda, Autumm-Rose, Liam, Domenik, Savanah, Alexandria, Elizabeth, Eric JR, Lillian, Caleb, Jasmine, Kayori, Lauren, Brianna, Jayda, Ty, Nevaeh, Landyn, and Zaidyn; many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and cousins. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, April 15, from 9-11 a.m., at Staples Funeral Home, 53 Brunswick Avenue, Gardiner, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., burial will follow at the Maple Grove Annex Cemetery, Windsor Street, Randolph.Arrangements are entrusted with Staples Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 53 Brunswick Avenue, Gardiner, Maine.
