NORTH ANSON – Jerry Dillon was surrounded by his family, wife Cindy and sons, Matthew and Jeremy, when he passed away peacefully at home in North Anson at age 61 on April 8, 2022. Jerry worked his whole life in the woods and took pride in running his skidder and cutting wood lots all over Maine. Jerry excelled at his two favorites hobbies, mud running, and fishing. Jerry built a gray Chevy step side, won many races, and really knew what he was doing when he built the truck. Anyone who knew Jerry could tell you about his passion for fishing. He enjoyed ice fishing on North Pond and was the first one on Embden after ice out. For over thirty years he fished the pond, knew the hot spots and what flies worked best. He and his fishing partner, Fern Michaud, knew how to catch fish.

Jerry was predeceased by his parents, Thomas Dillon and Phyliss Dillon Hilton. He is survived by wife Cindy Dillon, sons, Matthew Dillon and Jeremy Dillon, grandsons Oliver and Arlo Dillon, brother Tom Dillon and wife Dodie Dillon and Sister Bonnie Wright and husband Russ Wright. Jerry had wonderful friends who were the greatest help, Tammy Tranten and Steve Raye. A gathering will be held at Embden Community Center in Embden Maine on Saturday April 16, 2022, from 11 a.m. -2 p.m.
