Therese S. Morin

AUGUSTA – Therese S. Morin, 94, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ on March 25, 2022, at Glenridge Nursing Home in Augusta.

She was born on Dec. 29, 1927, in Augusta, one of nine children to Leonce and Marie Mercier Poulin.

Therese was a graduate of St. Augustine School in Augusta, and later attained her G.E.D.

As a teenager she worked at the corner store/ice cream shop in Augusta, she also worked at JC Penney in California and then also in Augusta.

She enjoyed having picnics and barbeques with family and friends, watching America’s Funniest Video’s and General Hospital. She also enjoyed square dancing, crossword puzzles, going to church and was also a cursillo member since 1984.

She was predeceased by her parents, Leonce and Marie Mercier Poulin, four brothers, Emilio, Raphael, The Reverend Lucien and Euclide “Butchie”: four sisters, Annette, Lucienne, Cecile and Beatrice and her three sons, Paul, Gerard and Jean.

She is survived by her son Robert Morin and his wife Nikki of Manchester and their children Jon and his wife Amanda, Shannon and her husband Alfred, Matthew and Michael, grandson Jeremy and his wife Diann of Winslow, grandsons, Leo-Paul and Gerard Labranche of Augusta, granddaughter Amber Chaplin of Tampa, Florida, her daughter Marie Michaud of Augusta and her children, April and her partner Donald, Michele of Augusta, James and his wife Kristy of Littleton, great grandchildren Kayleigh, Zachary, Celina, Kaylei, Alex, Xavier, Benjamin, Meagen. Jacob, Kyzer and Landen. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Therese and her son Jean T. Moring who passed away on Jan. 26, 2022. Their Mass will be on Monday, April 18, 2022, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 41 Western Ave Augusta at 2 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Burial will be in the late spring.

A special thank you to the staff at comfort care at Glenridge and Maine General Hospice for the wonderful care shown to Therese. The family is so grateful.
