A Bill and the Belles performance is set for 8 p.m. Friday, April 29, at Stone Mountain Arts Center, 695 Dugway Road, in Brownfield.
With a spirited sound that falls somewhere between old-time country and vaudeville, the group puts its own spin on a golden era of music, specifically the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s, including their own original tunes. In a climate of lots of string bands and old timey music groups, theirs is a fresh take while paying homage to an old style.
Tickets cost $22.
