AUGUSTA – Suzanne Marie Marguerite Michaud, 74, of Augusta, died peacefully on Sunday May 1, 2022 at her home.

Suzanne was born in Saint Martin, Quebec, Canada on Oct. 15, 1947 to Herve and Cecile (Veilleux) Vallee.

She attended Cony High School in Augusta and graduated in 1966.

Suzanne married Laurent T. Michaud on August 23, 1969 at St. Augustine Church in Augusta, where they lived until her death.

After her high school graduation, Suzanne worked for the State of Maine until September of 1989. She became disabled after a major brian aneurysm.

Suzanne had a heart of gold. She was a loving and caring mom to her three children and a devoted wife to her husband.

Suzanne also had many talents like figure skating, artist, and piano player. She was exceptionally beautiful inside and out.

Suzanne is survived by her husband, Laurent Michaud of Augusta; daughters Nancy Michaud of Augusta and Linda Puckett and her husband Gary of Chelsea; and a daughter-in-law, Angela Michaud of Turner.

She was predeceased by her son, Gary Michaud; by her parents; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Patrice and Ghislaine Michaud.

Suzanne had many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit on Friday May 6 from 6-8 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home, 16 Pleasant St., Augusta. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday May 7 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Northern Avenue, Augusta. Burial will follow in Holy Family Cemetery, Augusta.
