The defense attorneys for Nicholas P. Lovejoy said in court this week that police continued to question him after he said he wanted a lawyer if they were going to talk about Melissa Sousa, who was found dead in the basement of their apartment.
Family and friends of Melissa Sousa, 29, say her boyfriend and the father of their children, Nicholas Lovejoy, 28, was mentally unstable and could not take knowing she was leaving him.
Nicholas P. Lovejoy, 28, is charged with murder in the October 2019 death of Melissa Sousa, his girlfriend at the time and mother of their twin daughters.
Newly released court documents provided more details Friday supporting the police allegations of murder against Nicholas Lovejoy, while friends and family gathered in Waterville to mourn the loss of Melissa Sousa.
