Rev. Kenneth L. Lindsey

NEWPORT – Rev. Kenneth L. Lindsey, 97, formerly of Augusta, died Thursday, April 28, 2022, at Sebasticook Valley Hospital, Pittsfield, following a brief illness. He was born in Dana, Mass. on Sept. 29, 1924, a son of the late Lewis R. and Mattie E. (Stone) Lindsey.He was a graduate of Barre High School, then enlisted in the US Army serving on D-Day in Normandy. He attended the Episcopal Theological Seminary in Kentucky. Rev. Lindsey had been a Priest for over 40 years, serving in several Parishes in Maine and New Hampshire.He was predeceased by his parents and half brothers. Rev. Lindsey is survived by his son, Christopher Lindsey of Newport and his wife Debra; a grandson, Bryan and his wife Jennifer of Litchfield, a granddaughter Teasa and her husband Dave Wilkens of Concord, N.H.; and seven great-grandchildren. At his request, there will be no public visiting hours. Following cremation, a Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church, 900 Main St., Palmyra, ME 04965.
