The Hall of Fame also will introduce the winner of its First Maine Country Music Hall of Fame Guitar Competition — 17-year-old Owen Field. Field is a student at Hampden Academy and has been playing guitar since he was 8. He will be awarded with the Grand Prize, a Martin Guitar, and will perform the Merle Haggard tune, “Workin’ Man’s Blues,” with the Hall of Fame house band. He studies guitar with Jeremy Shirland and was First Place Winner at the 2022 Maine All-State Jazz Guitar Competition. Field is the son of Zachary and Karyn Field of Hampden.

Campbell was voted Maine’s favorite songwriter for six consecutive years by the Maine Sunday Telegram. He is from the Portland area, having spent his teen years in the Old Port sitting at the feet of street musicians who became his heroes.

Allen of Oxford debuted on stage at the age of 8. He formed Hurricane Mountain, one of Maine’s premier country bands. Allen and his wife, DeeDee own the Silver Spur country dance club.
