With the leak of the draft decision overturning Roe v. Wade I truly believe it is long overdue that our Sen. Collins hold an open public hearing. Sen. Collins owes it to her constituents that she answers questions concerning her votes in a public forum.
Collins has not held an open public meeting in over 22 years. Think about that — our senator refuses to answer unscripted questions from those she is elected to represent. What is she afraid of? There can be no other reason for her cowardliness. She is scared to be confronted by people who might disagree with her.
The press should highlight the fact that Sen. Collins refuses to answer questions in an opinion forum.
