SOMERVILLE — Pumpkin Vine Family Farm plans to hold a “hug a furry baby” event between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sunday, May 15, at the 217 Hewett Road farm.

Owners are excited to re-open their barn doors to the public for a chance to meet their new arrivals, according to a news release from the farm.

A total of 58 baby goats were born in April.

Visitors can view a new documentary on the births, and then head into the kid pens for a snuggle.

Wood-fired pizzas will be available for sale and the farmers market will be open.

This is a free event; registrations are not required. Donations to support the farm’s educational opportunities can be made in the cheese shop.

For more information, call Kelly Payson-Roopchand at the farm at 207-549-3096.
