EMBDEN – Faye Avis Domer, 83, of Embden, passed away unexpectidly on May 6, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. Faye was born in Phillips, Maine, on March 30, 1939, a daughter of Joseph Ellis Sr. and Faye (Thomas) Ellis. She was educated in the local schools and later earned a degree as a certified nursing assistant.She was employed at Maplecrest Nursing and Living Center in Madison until her retiremant in 2001. She was a volunteer at the People Who Care Food Cupboard in Madison and a member of the First Congregational Church Woman’s Association in Nort Anson. Faye enjoyed going to church, word search puzzles, jigsaw puzzles , reading and especially spending time with her family.She was predeceased by her parents, a daughter, Julie Domer Cuff and two sisters, Georgie Ladd and Gertrude Williams. Faye is survived by her daughters, Orva Ladd of Embden, Lola Derosier and her husband Larry of Bordertown, N.J., and Debra Domer and her partner Jason Libby of Maine. Her son Jean Domer Jr. and his partner Shirley McLaughlin of Colorado. Her sister Ester Boughton of Tennessee, her brothers, Joseph Ellis Jr. of Florida and Elwin Ellis of New Sharon, as well as several nieces, nephews, grand children and great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Thursday May 12, 2022, at 4 p.m., in Sunset Cemetery in North Anson. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Giberson Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
