GARDINER – Stephen P. Morrissette, 66, died Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at his home following a brief illness. He was born in Augusta on Dec. 21, 1955, a son of Leona (Doyle) Morrissette.

Mr. Morrissette was a graduate of Hall-Dale High School and was a U.S. Army veteran.

He had been employed by the Clean Up Group for many years as a High Rise Window Cleaner. He enjoyed going for long car rides and adventures. He also loved fishing and couldn’t wait to take his grandson.

Mr. Morrissette is survived by his wife, whom he was with for 31 years, Jill (Gallant) Morrissette of Gardiner; two daughters, Amy Morrissette and her significant other, Erica Golden of Augusta, Jessica Healey and her fiancée Tara Moulton of Augusta; a grandson, Kye Simpson, who was the light of his life, whom he always shared special dinosaur hugs with and couldn’t wait to retire so he could take him on many adventures; two sisters, Jean McKenna and her husband Bob of Hallowell and Sharyn Ogden and husband Walter of Readfield, a brother, Jeffrey Morrissette of Gardiner; his beloved cats Kiyah and Kallie; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 20 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Winthrop Street, Augusta.
